Recommended Master server/Catalog data replication to a DR site

Here is my environment -

Primary Data Center

1 Master server at primary datacenter - Windows 2008r2 Virtual running Netbackup 7.5.0.4 (yes, I will be updating quite soon)

2 Media servers at primary site - Windows 2008r2 running 7.5.0.4

1 DataDomain DD4200 at Primary site

DR Site

1 Media server at secondary site - Windows 2008r2 running 7.5.0.4

1 DataDomain DD4200 at seconday site which I use to replicate all backups to via SLP

We were previously using Veeam to just replicate the entire Master server VM to the DR site, but this is not supported and was taking too long, given our large catalog.

I'm looking into AIR, and either I'm not smart enough to understand how to use this option properly, OR if it's just really as confusing as I am making it!

I have created a secondary Master server at the DR site with its own IP, host name, etc. Where I'm confused is if I am supposed to be replicating the catalog itself to the new Master server at the DR site? Or, should I be using AIR/SLP to individually replicate each backup image to the DR site, and somehow repurpose the currently active media server at the DR site, to slowly build its own catalog database which recognizes it own Master server's host name?

You can probably tell from my question that I'm very lost, even digging through the documentation. I've reached out to Symentec, and was informed that they will only assist with break/fix, and not configuration.  Do I need to reach out to their consulting services? Before I do that, I guess what I'm attemtping to figure out (based on our environment) is, what is the best method for having access to a catalog in the event of needed DR.

Thanks all.

Signed, Confused.

Todd
