NetApp SnapManager for Exchange with NBU

I wonder if anyone has any experience integrating NetApp SnapManager operations with NBU?

Due to current NBU Replication Director compatability restrictions of we resort to the idea of triggering SnapManager operations via scripts (Oracle policy or notify scripts). It would be good to have some sort of an exit status indication/confirmation back. Indexing the jobs in NBU is not required.

Has anyone done it before?  Any suggestions?
