Hi all,
Long time since I've posted but things in our environment have been running quite well.
We have a master server in Toronto: 7.6.0.3.
We setup a media server with it's own robot in Montreal. 7.6.0.3.
Master: Windows 2008 R2
Media: Windows 2012 R2.
When I run a backup job (flashbackup or ms windows) on a large file server, The job starts and copies some data (sometimes a lot, sometimes a little before it fails).
Error codes I see are:
1: (42) network read failed
2: (636) read from input socket failed
I did some reasearch and found this technote (which I implemented)
https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH206817.html
Seems to still be an issue. Prior to the above fix, duplications from san to tape failed but now seem to be running ok. It's just this one job that backs up this large file server that is causing issues.
Does anybody have any suggestions with regards to tuning when it comes to remote media servers?
I do see under Media Server properties, there's a timeouts section but, thought to ask if any of you have played with this before.
Thanks all!
Seth
