nbu vmware

hi all

i have below queries
1...can i do a single file restore in case of a vm backup? if yes, what settings needs to be done

2...where to enable symantec v ray technology in netbackup policy?

3...media is fine.drives are fine..bit still media is not mounting on drives.

what could be the issue?? max mount can be a issue?

4...vm backup depends on vss to b stable on a vm for snapshot? if vss is unstable will my snapshot b created?

5..i dont want to use VSS for snapshot creation..does anything i can do on v center to not to have vss??

i have read the vm admin guide and the nbu forums.but no luck.
