Backing up 100 million files on a NetApp CIFS share - Accelerator

Hi

Got a large volume of 100 million files that are currently backed up using NDMP but is taking far too long.

Thinking about backing it up as a CIFS share on another box using NBU Accelerator because data changes are not that much.  

I suspect the change logs would only work on the actual server that has read/write access to the data and the change log would probably not be operational on the server where the same share is mounted as read-only.   Or are change logs operational on both boxes?  

Alternatively the volume could be mounted as read-only drive ...I suspect that may not work - correct?
